ITA Conant Family Scholarship

The Idaho Trappers Association Scholarship offers one (1) $1,000 scholarship for any ITA member who intends to further their education at any college or university of their choice. This scholarship is awarded annually and membership in the ITA MUST be current.

Scholarship applications can be filled out online at the link below. The Scholarship will be awarded after March 1 of the current year and will be announced during the ITA Banquet. Those ITA members out of state and their families are eligible to apply as well as in state.



Scholarship Requirements

Purpose

To provide one (1) Scholarship for any ITA member who intends to further their education at any college or university, with a preference given to trade or technical fields of study in an Agriculture and/or outdoor related programs and/or certificate. Examples of which include Natural resources, and Range management, but not limited to other programs of study including Ferrier Science, Welding, Meat Processing, or obtaining a Commercial Drivers License.

Criteria

  • Applicant must between the ages of 17 and 25
  • Applicant must submit a type written descriptive composition about yourself, anticipated program of study, activities, hobbies, and reason for applying for the scholarship. Please limit your response to two (2) pages.
  • Applicant must be a member in good standing of the Idaho Trappers Association

Application Process

Applicant must submit the following items:

  • Brief letter with an explanation of student involvement in activities to include ITA programs, trapping, community service and school programs.
  • Completed application form typed. Apply directly online at the link below.
  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation.
  • An official and recent high school transcript with cumulative grade point average, ACT and/or SAT scores, and a class standing/rank.
  • Please type information on application form. Illegible or unreadable application forms will be disqualified. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

NOTE: Scholarship funds will be awarded to the student upon evidence of registration in a program of study.
